Our Story

Someday never comes until you decide it does.

Someday Came was born from one person's real journey through burnout, bad habits, and a blood pressure crisis... to the other side. This is that story.

Dear Fellow Traveler,

For over 30 years, I worked in healthcare and senior care. If those decades taught me anything, it's that genuine peace isn't found in what we take from the world. It's found in what we give. For a long time, though, my own life told a very different story. A much less inspiring one. Like, embarrassingly different.

Chasing the White Rabbit

Like so many of us, I spent years trapped in the illusion of "I'll be happy when..." When the finances are right. When the relationship works out. When the project is done and everyone claps. It was a white rabbit I could never catch, and honestly, I wasn't even a great runner. Underneath the surface, I became an emotional chameleon, absorbing everyone else's stress until it became my own. I played the martyr, blamed circumstances, and lived as a victim to my environment. Bad habits followed. My health deteriorated. Sound familiar? Yeah. We've all been there.

Wisdom from the Finish Line

During those years in senior living, I'd ask residents a simple question: "If you could leave just one sentence of advice as your legacy, what would it be?" The answers kept echoing the same truths: Never lose the child in you. Learn to master your own mind. Control your emotions. Do what you fear, and live with zero regrets. Every one of those lessons went into a notebook. But writing wisdom down doesn't rewire a stressed-out nervous system. By 2023, managing a massive high-pressure project, I found myself on the maximum allowable dose of blood pressure medication. My body was done waiting for me to listen.

Going Down the Rabbit Hole

I started digging through old journals and research. My uncle, Dan Shenk, who has been gracefully professionally counseling others for over 50 years, had once shared something that became my starting line: "Acknowledgment is curative." We spend our lives avoiding the mirror, blaming outside circumstances, running from our feelings. But the only door out is the one right through the mirror. The deeper I went (neuroscience, neuroplasticity, psychology, hypnotherapy, the Bhagavad Gita, the Bible, the Tao Te Ching, Buddhism, Zen, Walt Whitman), the more they all pointed to the same truth: peace is found within. The question isn't what happens to you. It's whether you believe life is happening "to" you or "for" you.

The Friend Who Wouldn't Let Me Quit

Through all of it, the doubt, the late nights, the moments I wondered if any of this was real, there was one person who never wavered. My dear friend Hank Hencken. From the very beginning, Hank believed in what this could become for other people. He kept feeding me book after book, resource after resource, and whenever I got lost in the weeds, he'd quietly point me back to the mission. His encouragement wasn't just kind words. It was fuel. It was serendipity. Hank, this one's for you.

The Book That Never Got Written (You're Welcome)

Like every other person who has ever had a big idea, I was going to write a book. It was going to be called I'll Be Happy When... It was going to be brilliant. It was going to change lives. It was also going to sit in a Google Doc for the rest of eternity, which is where most books actually live. So instead of writing the book, I bought a microphone. I started recording short daily audio sessions, to myself, for myself. I was the guinea pig. Hearing your own voice back is strange at first. But it forces a question that changes everything: if the inner voice inside your head was a real person living rent-free in your house, would you renew the lease, or walk them to the door and put a boot in their backside on the way out? Training that voice to become an ally, a coach, a conscious creator, it worked. Health shifted. Reactivity dissolved. And although I know the journey of ourselves is ongoing, the chase has ended.

My Family Influence

My parents are Richard and Cindy. They have always been the rock, the foundation of what is right, what is wrong, and what integrity actually looks like when it's lived, not just talked about. Both of them operate in love mode. Both to each other and to everyone around them. Mom always seems to have the answers in some way. And my dad has this thing...I'm not entirely sure what it is, but people are genuinely drawn to him, and they leave feeling better than when they arrived. I hope I have some of that.  My children, Kodey and Taylor...I am so grateful. Not just that you exist, but for who you've become. You are genuine. You enjoy life. You love others. You do the right thing. You have wonderful relationships with your Shenk family, and you treat people with love and respect. Watching you both move through the world the way you do is the greatest evidence I have that any of this matters. You are my proof of concept.  And for my Amy, who supported me through more of this than she probably realizes over the past three years. The conversations, the patience, the feedback, the moments she showed up without even knowing she was showing up. Some people just make you grow by being in your orbit. Thank you.

Why "Someday Came"

This platform exists so you don't have to wait for someday anymore. Someday is here. Someday Came. My genuine hope is that everyone who finds their way here gains the freedom, clarity, and peace that came out of this journey. One more thing, and this one's free: smile right now. Not because everything is perfect. Just because we can do this whenever we would like. Not only does it remind our brain that we are in control, it literally changes our biology. Feel the chemicals going down your spine when you just...smile. The only door is the one in the mirror, and you hold the key. From the bottom of my heart, welcome to the game. Welcome to conscious creation.

Our Mission

Rewire the world, one voice at a time.

We believe every person carries the wisdom to transform their own life. Our mission is to give that wisdom a voice, your voice, and deliver it directly to the part of your brain that drives real, lasting change.

The Philosophy

Be. Do. Have.

Most people live by "I'll be happy when I have ___," chasing results first. But that's backwards. Someday Came flips the script: Be the person you want to become right now. With that identity locked in, you'll naturally Do the work and Have everything you've been dreaming of.

1
Be

Be

Adopt the identity of the person you want to become, right now, before anything changes externally. Your brain responds to who you believe you are.

2
Do

Do

From that grounded identity, the right actions emerge naturally. You stop forcing and start flowing toward your goals.

3
Have

Have

Everything you've been chasing arrives as a byproduct of who you've become — not the other way around.

The Science

Your brain trusts your voice above all others.

Neuroplasticity research confirms that the brain forms stronger neural pathways when it hears familiar, trusted voices, especially its own. Someday Came uses voice cloning to deliver psychological programming, affirmations, and mindfulness sessions in your exact voice, bypassing the skepticism your brain applies to outside voices and speaking directly to your subconscious.
